Bautista Agut sees the magical side of Dubai

2018 Dubai Champion Roberto Bautista Agut saw another side of Dubai when he visited Al Seef – a bustling waterfront promenade by Meraas reflecting both the heritage and modern-day stories of the city.

The ATP player had the opportunity to rediscover the heart of the city, a place where local fishermen, pearl-divers, weavers and tradesmen once came to trade.

Bautista is no stranger to Dubai: “I always love coming to Dubai, Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is one of the tournaments I like coming to and I have really good memories from two years ago. It’s always nice to visit the old city and have a new experience.”

Bautista also visited the Museum of Illusions – the attraction which takes visitors on a magical journey of distorted perspective and optical illusions – of which there are 80! He and his team had a great time testing out many of the mind-boggling exhibits.

See Bautista on Centre Court tonight where he will face Jan-Lennard Struff in his first round match.
