World number four Grigor Dimitrov was flying high this morning over Dubai Marina as he experienced a thrilling ride on the XLine. The Xline flies over land and water at up to 80km/h, and took him from 170m down to ground level.
Dimitrov said, "I've done a lot of zip lines but there is nothing you can compare to this, it takes my breath away to be honest. It looks a bit frightening I'm not going to lie about that, getting here I was nervous but hey you only live once and this is something I would love to do and let’s do it. I'm pretty excited so hopefully I don’t disappoint.

"There is so much you can do here in Dubai. I’ve been here more than once, for holidays too because I have good friends here. It feels a bit different coming here to play but at the same time it's important to do something outside of the court to feel mentally just that you are doing something different, to come back to the court a bit fresher and a bit more excited. Hopefully I will play some good tennis.
"I haven't played here for a long time, but I remember liking playing here. I played against a very high ranked player if I remember correctly. My expectations this year are of course I want to win the tournament but what's most important for me is I build after every match I play and hopefully I'm able to deliver. That's very important to me in every tournament I play and this one in particular because this tournament gives you a good platform going towards Miami, it's very good to feel ready and prepared. But first I have to survive the Zip Line!"
The tournament top seed, who won the Nitto ATP Finals last year, will commence his quest for the Dubai Duty Free title tomorrow when he plays Tunisia's Malek Jaziri on Centre Court.
The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is owned and organised by Dubai Duty Free, and held under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
